“Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds and establish prayer and give zakah will have their reward with their Lord and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.” (2:277)
The rewards of Prayer are not restricted to this world; rather they shall surpass this material world.
- Helps us Stay Connected to Allah
We should develop a relation with our Lord; our Sole Creator. We can only retain this bond, if we stay connected to our Lord. Salah is the medium that can help us achieve that bond. When a Muslim prays five times a day, they are able to establish that bond more strongly, because they are in continuous contact with their Lord five times each day.

Shaitan aims to deviate Muslims from Allah’s path. He intends to take Muslims from lightness into the darkness. We need to be aware of the tactics of Shaitan and refrain ourselves from letting him deviate us.
“Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist?” (5:91)
Therefore, we can say that by not offering prayer we are giving in ourself to Shaitan. By offering prayer , we resist the temptation of Shaitan.
