Why should we stay in a state of Wudhu (Ablution)?

 

Certainly Muslims need to perform Wudhu (ablution) before each Salah (prayer). In other words, it is a purified state that is the prerequisite for Salah. The purification of our bodies is the means to the cleanliness of the heart and soul. Therefore it brings us closer to Allah. Moreover, when we wash our arms, our blood circulation is activated. Therefore, this again is beneficial for our physical health. Further, it makes the person more active.

 

  1. Refreshes and Calms Us

 

In addition, performing ablution before going to bed helps us give a calm and peaceful sleep.

 

9. Opens gates of Heaven

 

The gates of Heaven will be opened for the person who performs ablution the right way.

 

10. Ablution Omits our Sins

 

we omit our sins while performing ablution. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said,

 “When a Muslim, or a believer, washes his face (in the course of Wudu’), every sin which he committed with his eyes, will be washed away from his face with water, or with the last drop of water; when he washes his hands, every sin which is committed by his hands will be effaced from his hands with the water, or with the last drop of water; and when he washes his feet, every sin his feet committed will be washed away with the water, or with the last drop of water; until he finally emerges cleansed of all his sins.”  (Muslim, Book 9, Hadith 1028)
